Do you ever try to add or subtract elements in your works? When you are creating, do you look at the work as a whole, or, the sum of its parts? I like to stand still and out of the way occasionally. I hold my camera in the same spot, waiting for someone or something to enter the frame. I love seeing how one element can change my perception. I try to notice how one influence in a frame alters the view.

As a photographer, I am able to lean into being an observer. To take it all in and extract the parts that interest me. Often it is based on style, aesthetic, and message. A great looking story is something to behold, but even better when witnessed first hand.
