The last day of the year was here at last. I woke up relieved that this last day was starting out better than an overwhelmingly large number of 2024. This year was not kind to me, nor I to it. This day felt different in the best way I could hope for. I wanted to capture what I could of it.
I have been shooting for the last year with my Fujifilm XS-20, and have been loving it. I recently had a chat with an old friend who is a professional photographer. He has been shooting some amazing work with simpler setups. He also uses various point-and-shoot cameras for quick on the go and narrative work. It reminded me that we had got our daughter a small Canon PowerShot Elph. The camera is compact and pocket-sized. We gave it to her when she was younger. I found it just 4 days ago. I decided today was as good as any to bring it along. I wanted to see what was meant to be seen. We headed out into the day with excitement and adventure. Here are a few of the images I caught on this very last day of 2024.
